Shawn Johnson is the director of PreK-12 Literacy for Wake County Public Schools, the largest school district in North Carolina with more than 160,000 students. He has worked in education for 26 years. Prior to moving into his current role, he served as senior administrator for elementary English/language arts for the Wake County Public Schools. Prior to this role I worked for 17 years in Duplin County as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and K-8 executive director.
