Ricky Hernández, currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD), possesses over two decades of dedicated public service in K-12 education. His extensive background includes pivotal roles such as Assistant Vice President at the University of Arizona Foundation and Chief Operating Officer of the Arizona Alumni Association. Ricky facilitated the successful merger of the Alumni Association and the Foundation, demonstrating his strong strategic expertise. Additionally, he previously served as Deputy County School Superintendent and CFO in the Office of the Pima County School Superintendent, overseeing over $1 billion in assets across 15 school districts. Ricky holds a Master of Administration with a Public Management emphasis from Northern Arizona University and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He actively contributes to various community-based organizations across Tucson and Pima County. He is a native of Nogales, AZ, and resides in Sahuarita, AZ with his family.
