Peter Silva is Senior Vice President/Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for McGraw Hill’s School Group, leading the group’s sales, marketing, implementation and training organization. He previously held the position of VP/National Sales Manager for Adoption States and VP of the South Region. His industry experience started in 1997, having held various positions in his 24 years, of which 19 have been with McGraw Hill. Peter’s experience ranges from mathematics consultant, sales representative for the 4th largest school district in the country, field marketing, and Florida District Manager.
From 2005-2009, he served as Executive Vice President for the Curriculum Division at Carolina Biological Supply Company in North Carolina where he managed all aspects of P&L for the division, including product development, marketing, fulfillment, and sales. Peter began his career as a mathematics teacher in Florida and held several school-based leadership roles during his educational experience. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics Educational from Florida State University.
