Kavita Vora has over two decades of experience building high-performing people teams and leading organizations through transformation. She serves as chief people officer at BrainPOP, the pioneering online education company that has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work” by BuiltIn. Kavita leads BrainPOP’s global people and culture team in recruiting and developing talent while fostering an engaging and inclusive work culture. She also serves as executive co-sponsor of the DEI Committee.
Before joining BrainPOP, Kavita served as chief people officer of music tech company Splice, which during her tenure more than tripled in size and went through hypergrowth from a Series B to Series D company. Prior to this, Kavita was chief people officer and general manager of the professional recruiting business unit at Jopwell, a tech startup committed to workforce diversity and inclusion, which was acquired by True, an executive search firm. She also served as chief people officer at MakerBot, the market leader in the consumer 3D printing space, which was acquired by Stratasys. Kavita previously held HR and finance leadership roles at Hewlett Packard and Johnson & Johnson for over a decade.
Kavita holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in finance and philosophy from The College of New Jersey. She is a member of Chief, a leadership network that connects and supports women executives. She is also the founder and principal of Kaia Ventures, serving as an active angel investor and board advisor. She resides in Brooklyn.
