Jeremy Davis is the assistant superintendent for innovation and instructional support for the 12,000-student Fullerton School District in California, and the Vice President of the California Ed Tech Joint Powers Authority. His district was one of the founding members of the organization, which now serves more than 130 agencies. He currently serves as Past President of CITE, the association that represents all IT workers and administrators in California. Davis currently serves as assistant superintendent in a district that prides itself on celebrating student voice, choice, and agency. In Fullerton we are constantly innovating and striving to go beyond what is expected to explore the deeply unexpected to engage our students. The district hosts a huge festival (FSD Fest) at Cal State Fullerton every year for students to showcase their passions, play esports, and do Ted Talks. The school system is also currently working with a group of 8th graders and community partners to attempt to build a tiny home to help address our community’s homeless issues.
